1. Scope and who this applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through our public website, online booking flows, customer portal, administrative systems used to deliver consultations, and any related communication channels operated by Insiight Numerology.

We provide astrology, numerology, tarot, Vastu, and related guidance services from our studio in Jaipur, India, and through online sessions for clients in India and internationally. By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our website or submit personal information to us.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of use and Returns & refunds policy. Where a separate written agreement applies to a specific service, that agreement may contain additional privacy or confidentiality terms.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate our practice, respond to enquiries, deliver sessions, manage bookings, and comply with applicable law. The categories of information we may collect include:

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, postal address, and preferred contact method.
  • Booking and account details: appointment preferences, chosen service, astrologer or practitioner selection, login credentials for the customer portal, and profile information you choose to maintain.
  • Session-related information: birth date, birth time, birth place, questions or concerns you share before or during a consultation, notes you submit through forms, and any other details you voluntarily provide for the purpose of a reading or guidance session.
  • Payment and billing information: invoice details, transaction references, payment status, and limited billing information needed to process payments. Full card or bank credentials are handled by our payment partners and are not stored by us in readable form.
  • Communications: messages sent through contact forms, email, phone calls, WhatsApp or SMS where used, and support or follow-up correspondence.
  • Marketing preferences: newsletter sign-up details and your choices about receiving updates or promotional messages.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, such as:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and general location derived from IP;
  • pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, referring website or campaign source;
  • session identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies described in Section 6;
  • error logs and security-related events needed to maintain site reliability.

2.3 Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from:

  • payment gateways confirming whether a transaction succeeded or failed;
  • analytics or advertising platforms, where enabled, in aggregated or pseudonymous form;
  • referral partners or gift-booking purchasers who provide your contact details so we can schedule a session on your behalf, where you have consented or where permitted by law.

We do not purchase lists of personal data from data brokers, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information for legitimate business and service-delivery purposes, including to:

  • respond to enquiries and provide information about our services;
  • create and manage bookings, appointments, invoices, and customer accounts;
  • prepare for and deliver in-person or online consultations;
  • send booking confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, receipts, and service-related updates;
  • process payments, refunds, and billing records where applicable;
  • maintain internal records for follow-ups, treatment plans, recurring services, or ongoing client support where offered;
  • improve our website, booking experience, and client communication;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems;
  • comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations;
  • send newsletters or promotional messages only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law, and always with a way to opt out.

We do not use your session content for public marketing without your explicit consent. Any client story, testimonial, or excerpt published on our website is handled separately and only with appropriate permission, editing for privacy, and removal of identifying details unless you clearly agree otherwise.

4. Legal bases for processing

Depending on your location and the nature of the interaction, we process personal information on one or more of the following bases:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide the services you request, such as booking a consultation or managing your account.
  • Consent: where you opt in to marketing communications, agree to optional cookies or analytics beyond what is strictly necessary, or explicitly authorize a specific use of your information.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and improving our website, securing our systems, preventing misuse, and maintaining business records in a way that does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation: retaining records required by tax, accounting, consumer protection, or other applicable laws.

If you are located in India, we also aim to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related guidance, including respecting your rights as a data principal and processing data only for lawful purposes. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with dedicated privacy laws, you may have additional rights described in Section 12.

5. Session confidentiality

Consultations often involve sensitive personal, emotional, family, health-related, or financial context. We treat information shared during sessions as confidential within the limits described here and in our professional practice standards.

  • Session notes and client records are accessible only to authorized staff and practitioners involved in delivering your service.
  • We do not publish identifiable session details, recordings, or transcripts without your clear consent.
  • Where online sessions are conducted by video or phone, we ask that you choose a private location whenever possible. We likewise take reasonable steps to conduct sessions from a private studio or secure online environment.
  • Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law, needed to prevent imminent harm, or necessary to respond to a valid legal request from a court or government authority.

Guidance offered in sessions is for reflection and personal insight. It does not replace medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice from licensed professionals. Please do not share information with us that you are legally required to keep strictly confidential from third-party service providers unless you understand and accept the limits of our role.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, maintain secure sessions, and—where enabled—understand how visitors use the site.

6.1 Types of cookies we may use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for core functions such as security, session management, booking flow continuity, and form submission.
  • Functional cookies: remember choices such as language, display settings, or previously entered non-sensitive preferences.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand traffic patterns, page performance, and user journeys in aggregated form.
  • Advertising or conversion cookies: where enabled, these may measure the effectiveness of campaigns through tools such as Google Tag Manager or Google Ads.

6.2 Your cookie choices

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through settings. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect booking, login, or payment functionality. Where required by law, we will request consent before placing non-essential analytics or advertising cookies.

You can also use browser add-ons or platform tools provided by Google and other vendors to limit ad personalization or analytics collection, subject to the options those providers make available in your region.

7. Third-party services and sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted third parties only when needed to operate our services, including:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve our website and application;
  • Email and messaging providers used to send confirmations, reminders, invoices, or support messages;
  • WhatsApp or SMS gateway services where you have provided a number and we use messaging for service communication;
  • Analytics and advertising partners such as Google, where configured on the site;
  • Payment processors described in Section 8;
  • Professional advisers such as accountants or legal counsel, under confidentiality obligations;
  • Authorities or courts when required by applicable law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

These providers are permitted to process information only for the purposes we specify and are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards. Some providers may process data outside India. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

8. Payment processing

When you pay online for a consultation, invoice, or related service, your payment is processed through secure third-party payment gateways such as PayU, Razorpay, or other providers we may enable from time to time. Those providers collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS or equivalent security standards.

We typically receive only:

  • transaction status (successful, failed, pending, refunded);
  • amount, currency, date, and reference identifiers;
  • limited payer contact details needed to match the payment to your booking or invoice.

We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or UPI PINs on our servers. Please review the privacy policy of the payment provider shown at checkout for additional details about how they handle your financial information.

9. Communications and notifications

We may contact you by email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp for service-related purposes, including:

  • appointment confirmations and reminders;
  • changes to session timing or practitioner availability;
  • invoice delivery and payment links;
  • responses to your enquiries;
  • follow-up messages related to an ongoing service plan, where applicable.

Marketing or newsletter messages are sent separately and only where permitted. You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing does not affect essential service communications about an active booking or account.

Standard messaging or data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to SMS or WhatsApp communications. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving service-related messages for the purpose of managing your appointment, subject to your right to withdraw consent for non-essential marketing messages.

10. How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of record:

  • Booking and client records: retained while you remain an active client and for a reasonable period afterward to support follow-ups, recurring services, or dispute resolution.
  • Financial and invoice records: retained as required for accounting, taxation, and audit purposes under applicable Indian law.
  • Marketing lists: retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, subject to any minimal suppression record needed to honor your opt-out.
  • Website logs and security records: retained for a limited period necessary for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and system integrity.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely archive it. Archived records may remain in backup systems for a limited technical retention window before being overwritten.

11. Security measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls for staff accounts, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our public site, secure hosting environments, and limited access to client records on a need-to-know basis.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us promptly so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.

12. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access: request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy of relevant records.
  • Correction: ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: request deletion of personal information where it is no longer necessary, where you withdraw consent, or where required by law, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for optional processing such as marketing, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
  • Restriction or objection: object to certain processing or ask us to restrict use in specific circumstances.
  • Portability: where applicable, request a copy of information you provided in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Complaint: lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law. Some requests may be declined where we are legally permitted or required to retain certain information.

If you have a customer portal account, you may also update certain profile details directly through your account settings where that feature is available.

13. Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for adults and for minors only with involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child without proper authorization, please contact us and we will take steps to review and delete it where appropriate.

For sessions involving minors, we ask that a parent or guardian provide contact details, attend or approve the booking where required, and share only information appropriate to the session context.

14. International users and data transfers

Insiight Numerology is based in India. If you access our website or book a session from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in India or in other countries where our service providers operate.

By using our services, you understand that your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, which may differ from the laws of your home country. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

Online sessions may be delivered using third-party video, phone, or messaging tools. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of those tools in your location complies with local requirements and that you are comfortable with their privacy practices.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top.

Where required by law, we may provide additional notice—for example, by email or a prominent notice on the website. Your continued use of the website or services after an update becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.
